Getting Back Into Martial Arts
Growing up, I had three very good martial arts clubs near my home, and they taught muay thai, karate, and jujutsu. I frequented the muay thai gym, mainly because someone told me “only boys do that”, so, being the type of girl I am, I immediately wanted to go! So I did.

Whilst there, I learned that through hard work, determination and sheer bloody-mindedness, I could achieve anything I really set my mind and heart on. And I took those lessons and applied them at school, at college, at university, and now in the workplace.
However, as the years have gone past, I have lost the time spent down the gym, and I have slowly lost the ability to apply myself consistently for large periods of time. Getting myself back to the gym will help, I know it will. But the energy, time, and whatnot that it takes to start it up again it scary…
But the hardest part is going once; once you’re in, you’re hooked.. so I’ve called the local one, and booked to go in.
